SLOUGH Town made progress into the third qualifying round of the FA Cup this season after a 3-0 win at Flackwell Heath on Saturday, writes Rob Stevens.
Ben Harris thought he had given the Rebels the lead in the second qualifying round tie at Wilks Park when he shot past Flackwell keeper Aaron Watkins from a George Wells cross, but the assistant referee had his flag raised for offside.
Harris did break the deadlock when curling a free-kick over the wall and into the net with Watkins rooted to the spot after 36 minutes.
The visitors dominated the second half and doubled their advantage as Harris volleyed in from a Wells cross in the 64th minute. It is his fourth goal of the season and fourth career goal in the FA Cup for Slough.
The Rebels then introduced Manny Williams as a substitute to make his 100th appearance in a Slough shirt and he capped the moment with a goal nine minutes from the final whistle.
Midfielder Warren Harris crossed the ball low into the box from the right and Williams tapped in from close range. It is his second goal of the season and fourth in the national competition for the club.
Slough Town return to action in the National League South with a trip to Dartford this Saturday (3pm).
Windsor moved up to 10th position in the Hellenic League Premier Division after a 4-2 win against Shrivenham at Stag Meadow on Saturday.
A goal from Will Turl gave Windsor the lead inside four minutes but Lewis Petrie equalised for Shrivenham before the break.
The visitors gained an advantage through Macauley Dobson after the hour mark, but Windsor secured all three points with goals from Keaton August, Dylan Ive and Robert Lazarczuk.
Windsor make the trip to Flackwell on Tuesday (7.45pm).
Burnham stand in 16th position in the league table following their 1-1 draw against second bottom and winless Brimscombe & Thrupp at The Gore on Saturday.
A goal from James Campbell gave Brimscombe the lead three minutes into the second half but The Blues equalised through James Tripp in the final minute of normal time.
Burnham welcome third-from-bottom Easington Sports to The Gore on Tuesday (7.45pm).
Chalvey Sports moved up to second position in Division One East after a 3-2 win against Woodley United at Arbour Park on Saturday.
An own goal plus a strike from Sam Guze gave Woodley a clear lead inside 14 minutes, but The Stabmonks equalised with goals from Richard Jeffrey and Oscar Betts before the break and secured the points when Jason Marney netted two minutes into the second half.
Chalvey Sports welcome Abingdon United to Arbour Park on Tuesday (7.45pm).
Holyport made progress in the Berks & Bucks Senior Trophy after a 4-1 win against Wraysbury at Summerleaze on Saturday.
A goal from Andy Forisky gave Port the lead inside the first minute, before Nico Harris equalised for Wraysbury five minutes into the second half.
The home side ensured their progress in the county cup when Fabian Driffill bagged a hat-trick inside the last 15 minutes.
Holyport return to action with a trip across Berkshire to Reading Cup in cup football on Monday 30th September (7.45pm).
Langley did not have a fixture to fulfill last weekend but return to action with a visit to Summerleaze from Woodley in Division One East on Tuesday (7.45pm).
