A football club that was once affiliated with Beaconsfield Town have appointed their new manager.
Windsor FC, who play in the Combined Counties Football League, confirmed the arrival of ex-Huddersfield Town and Panionios defender Garry Haylock as their latest man in charge, following his departure from Binfield in the middle of December.
Haylock said: “I was planning to take a break from football but the opportunity to manage Windsor and develop young players through the Windsor and Beaconsfield partnership came up and was ideal for me.”
In Windsor’s statement, they said: “We are delighted to confirm the appointment of Garry Haylock as our new first team manager.
“A former footballer with Huddersfield Town, Shelbourne and Portadown amongst others, Garry’s extensive coaching and management experience includes periods at; Hayes & Yeading Utd in the National League and Farnborough Town, as well as time spent at Exeter City as first team coach and analyst.”
Windsor are 17th from 22 positions in the Combined Counties Football League, where they have won six of their 23 league games this season.
