JESSIE Knight set a new personal best time when winning the 400m at the Muller Indoor Grand Prix – part of the World Athletics Indoor Tour – in Glasgow on Saturday.
Knight is a member of the Windsor, Slough, Eton & Hounslow Athletics Club and took 0.64 seconds off her old best effort to stop the clock at 51.57 seconds, beating a field that had all previously won medals in major championships.

The 25-year-old said: “That was just amazing. I got a stadium record and, being on that start list, on paper I should’ve been last.
“My coach puts a really strong programme together and it’s paying off because of the amount of over-training I’m doing. It shows hard work pays off.”
