THE Mayor of Slough, Councillor Avtar Kaur Cheema, attended the opening of the Youth Indoor Cricket Training at the Langley Grammar School.
The training is sponsored by the Ramgarhia Sikh Gurdwara in Slough.
As a part of the ongoing celebration of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s 550th birthday (the founder of Sikhism), Ramgarhia Sikh Gurdwara has fully-funded a 10-week indoor youth cricket training scheme for children aged 6-14 for all members of the community.
Each summer for the last four years, Ramgarhia Sikh Gurdwara also sponsor a free-of-charge three-day youth cricket camp with food and drinks, held at Stoke Green Cricket Club.
