A NUMBER of Windsor, Slough, Eton & Hounslow (WSEH) Athletics Club members competed in the Bracknell Young Athletes Meeting last weekend.
The best placed of these was Nathan Rollins, who won his Under-15 boy’s 600m race in one minute and 42.5 seconds (1:42.5).
Second-placed finishes were achieved by Abby Masquelier (12.3secs) in the U17 girls’ 80m hurdles and Demari Gumbs (13.22secs) in the U13 girls’ 75m.
Just outside of the top three placings were Corrie Heppel, fourth in the U17 girls’ 80m hurdles in 15.03secs and in the U15 80m hurdles with 15.03secs, Noah Fletcher in the U17 boys’ 1,500m in 4:31.78 and Demara Gumbs in the U15 boys’ 100m in 13.22secs.
Fifth-placed finished were recorded by Joe Caesar (12.00secs) in the U15 boys’ 100m, Cami Ho (14.27secs) in the U15 girls 100m, Demara Gumbs (27.47secs) in the U15 boys’ 200m and Sampda Sharma (8.94m) in the U15 girls’ shot.
James Palmer took seventh place in the U17 boys’ 1,500m with 4:41.13, the same position filled by Caesar in the U15 boys’ shot with 6.90. Monty Gurney was in eighth place in the U15 boys javelin with 30.33m.
WSEH open their Summer Track Season with their Spring Open Meeting at the Thames Valley Athletics Centre in Eton this Sunday. The first event is at 11.30am with the event expected to be complete at 5pm.
