WINDSOR, Slough, Eton & Hounslow finished second in their home Southern League Division One match.
They scored 215 points to finish 11 adrift of Blackheath & Bromley, but were ahead of Bracknell and Marshall Milton Keynes.
The match opened well for the hosts with double success in the 400m hurdles for Andy Clements (54.15secs) and Harry Barnett (61.57s). Marcey Winter (62.08s) maintained the winning streak in the ladies’ race, with Alice Flint (64.69s) second in the B string.
The WSEH ladies shone in the 100m with Sophie Papps sealing the A string in 11.76s and Harriet Jones ensuring maximum points by winning the B string in 12.10s.
Jess Armah was second in the 200m A string in 24.86s, while Jones completed her winning sprint double by taking the B string in 24.89s.
The men dominated the 400m with Isaac Osei-Tutu (49.62s) and Rory Graham-Watson (50.08s) victorious.
Zac Curran was 30 metres clear of his rivals in a time of 1m 52.08s in the 800m, while in the 1,500m, Jenny Ball was second in the A string (4:54.31s) and 16-year-old Amy Young won the B string (4:55.51s).
In the men’s 110m hurdles, Michael Louise (15.92s) and Barnett(16.36s) claimed victories, while in the ladies, Jones (14.33s) was second in the A string and Marcey Winter (14.40s) won the B event.
Chris Mills (3.90m) and Abraham Melbourne (3.70m) topped the podium in the pole vault, Sam Challis won the long jump with a leap of 6.88m, Tepee Princewell (14.22m) bagged the triple jump and Sam Hewitt (1.95m) was second in the high jump.
The women took maximum points in the high jump thanks to Jodie Smith (1.70m) and Rachel Melbourne (1.55m), with Smith (5.51m) also winning the long jump.
Hannah Jones (5.12m) was second in the B string, Melbourne (10.66m) was runner-up in the triple jump and Harriet Jones (10.54) matched her in the B string.
India Sale (2.50m) bagged second in the pole vault, Melbourne (9.74m) matched her in the shot and Barbara Norris (9.44m) was also runner-up in the B event.
The latter (33.62m) took second in the discus, as did Janet Smith (28.56m) in the B competition.
Abbi Jones (33.10m) and Annabelle Pettipher (25.85m) were second in the respective javelin events, while the ladies (48.3s) won the 4x100m relay and the men (3:25.42s) the 4x400m.
WSEH’s Alex Haydock-Wilson (400m and 4x400m relay) and Jake Norris (hammer) secured golds for England and GB juniors at the Manchester Midweek International. Alex Barbour took bronze in the 3,000m steeplechase.
