SLOUGH Town will welcome Championship club Reading to Arbour Park in the highlight of their pre-season preparations for National League South.
The Rebels will begin their summer campaign with a visit to Arbour Park from Southern League Premier South club Metropolitan Police on Tuesday, July 10 (7.45pm).
Reading will make the short trip up the M4 on Saturday, July 14 (3pm).
Slough will also host Boreham Wood, who suffered defeat in the National League play-off final last season, and Kettering Town, who The Rebels beat in the Southern Premier Division play-off semi-finals, in what will be a challenging set of friendly fixtures.
Matches away at Basingstoke Town, Staines Town and Beaconsfield Town have also been lined-up ahead of the start to National League South on Saturday, August 4.
Slough Town pre-season schedule: Home v Metropolitan Police (Tuesday, July 10, 7.45pm), home v Reading (Saturday, July 14, 3pm), away v Basingstoke Town (Tuesday, July 17, 7.45pm), away v Staines Town (Saturday, July 21, 3pm), home v Boreham Wood (Tuesday, July 24, 7.45pm), home v Kettering Town (Saturday, July 28, 3pm) and away v Beaconsfield Town (Tuesday, July 31, 7.45pm).
- SLOUGH Town have confirmed that the club will not be offering terms to Matthew Lench for the new season.
An announcement on the official club website read: "This may come as a surprise to a lot of supporters, however a lot of thought and reasoning goes into every decision we make."
