THE Observer has teamed up with Inspired Slough to offer readers the opportunity to participate in sports events as the borough of Slough lives in the legacy of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
“WITH the Easter Holidays nearly upon us, there are plenty of things to do in and around the area to ensure that the whole family gets active, whilst having fun at the same time.
The annual Maidenhead Easter Ten takes place on Good Friday (April 18), challenging people to take on the 10 mile run. It is the 61st time the race has taken place and this year it’s raising money for the Thames Valley Adventure Playground.

If you’re looking for something a little less energetic there are various Easter and spring themed walks including a guided Daffodil Walk at Waltham Place Farm, Maidenhead on Saturday.
The Blueball Walk takes place on April 26 and Windsor Great Park host the Easter Trail between April 5-21. Visitors to the UK Wolf Conservation Trust in Reading can join the arctic wolves for an Arctic Ramble on April 12.
Absolutely Ice in Slough has a number of different activities going on over Easter, including the chance to skate with the Easter Bunny on April 9th and 16th.

The Windsor Phoenix Gymnastics Club are organising an Easter Energize event on April 7th and 17th, which offers children aged 5-16 the chance to try out Olympic gymnastic equipment under the watchful eye of fully qualified British Gymnastic coaches. Information can be found at www.phoenixgym.co.uk.
Star Hotshots Multi-Activity Sports Camps are based located in Maidenhead, Reading and Sonning throughout the holidays. As well as being able to swim every day, the camp will also encourage children to try archery, golf, handball, street dance, street surfing, and taekwondo.
