The store, which has been trading for five years in Reform Road, is relocating to a larger space to accommodate its growing clientele.

The grand opening is scheduled for Wednesday, December 4 at 11am.

The new store is almost double the size of the old one and will offer a wider range of preloved and upcycled furniture, along with various homewares including lamps, vases, pictures, electrical items, kitchenware, and crockery.

The store will also feature a large children's zone with toys, games, and books, ample parking, and a small coffee shop serving tea, coffee, and cake.

Julie Rowley, director of retail at Thames Hospice, said: "We are so excited to be moving and thrilled Anita Dobson is opening our wonderful new home in Boyn Valley Road.

"We are very grateful to the Maidenhead community for their loyal support over the last five years.

"This amazing encouragement has meant we have now outgrown our home in Reform Road.

"We are delighted to have found a new space in Maidenhead, less than a ten-minute drive from our current home.

"Our new Homestore is almost double in size and will allow us to offer a wider range of preloved and upcycled furniture with a wealth of homeware from lamps, vases, pictures to electricals, kitchenware and crockery.

"Sustainable charity shopping is at the heart of everything we do and we have ensured our popular ‘Home Studio’ will also be moving to Boyn Valley Road, providing our ever-popular range of upcycled furniture."

She added that the move is ambitious and brings new opportunities.

The hospice is now seeking additional volunteers for various roles and is also on the lookout for preloved furniture and homeware to fill its new home.

The current store in Reform Road is set to close on Sunday, November 24, to prepare for the move.

The hospice relies heavily on the support of more than 940 volunteers and the generosity of the community it serves to provide free services.

It receives a 33 per cent financial contribution towards its operating costs from NHS England and other statutory bodies, and needs to raise £34,000 each day to fund its services.

The new Thames Hospice Homestore will open at 11am on December 4 at Unit A Boyn Valley Industrial Estate, Boyn Valley Road, Maidenhead, SL6 4EJ.
