JAMES HONEY, 31, of Burbidge Close, Calcot, was found guilty of assault by beating of an emergency worker, namely a police constable, on July 20 last year in Reading. He was fined £200 and ordered to pay £100 in compensation. There were court costs of £250 and a victim surcharge of £80.
ADRIAN HUGGINS, 43, of Sedgefield Close, Sonning Common, pleaded guilty to drug driving in Reading on April 12 this year as well as one count of driving without a licence. He was given a community order to complete up to five days of rehabilitation activity and 100 hours of unpaid work. He was also disqualified from driving for 16 months. There were court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £114.
STEPHEN PAINTER, 47, of Caversham Road, Reading, pleaded guilty to seven counts of theft from a shop. On October 9, he stole £130 worth of men’s toiletries from Boots, on October 1 he stole £200 of makeup from Boots, on October 2 he stole £150 of makeup from Boots, on November 4 he stole meat and coffee to the value of £76 from Co-Op, on November 9 he stole perfume to the value of £84.15 from Boots, on October 30 he stole two Ted Baker gift sets to the value of £100 from Boots, and on October 2 he stole an electric toothbrush to the value of £100 from Boots. He was jailed for 30 weeks.
PRITPAL VIRDEE, 60, of Trelawney Avenue, Slough, pleaded guilty to one count of harassment – breaching a restraining order. On November 8 this year he was in the presence of a person he was prohibited from being near due to a restraining order imposed at Reading Crown Court on September 3, 2021. He was given a six week prison sentence, suspended for six months. There were no orders for costs.
CYRUS DALY, 27, of Yew Tree Road, Slough, pleaded guilty to one count of theft from a shop on November 10 this year in Windsor after stealing £182 worth of alcohol from Waitrose. He was jailed for 14 days. There were no other orders for costs.
JIRI CHRZ, 41, of Curzon Street, Reading, pleaded guilty to one count of burglary from a dwelling. On May 30 last year in Portsmouth, he stole two Macbook pro laptops to the value of £1,225 each. He was given a 26 week prison sentence, suspended for 24 months. There were court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £154.
