A man has been jailed for robbery after confronting and robbing a man parked in a van in Slough.

Droma Bujor, aged 23, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to one count of robbery at Reading Crown Court earlier this year.

At the same court earlier last week, Bujor was sentenced to two years and three months in prison.

On February 2 last year, Bujor approached the victim, a man in his thirties, who was parked on Chalvey High Street.

Bujor took the keys of the victims van, and demanded that the victim gave him everything he had.

The victim handed over cash, and Bujor attempted to take the victim to a cash point to withdraw more money.

The victim did not sustain any injuries.

Bujor was arrested the same day and charged on 24 April this year.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Sikander Channa, based at Slough police station, said: “This is a very positive outcome for the victim and will have positive effects on the community who should be able to walk around without the fear of being robbed.

“This type of offence is never tolerated and I hope that this case shows how seriously crimes of this nature are taken.”
