Windsor Castle has unveiled its Christmas displays, adding new decorations to Queen Mary's Dolls' House.

This festive period, visitors to the castle will see the State Apartments decked out in Christmas splendour.

For the first time, miniature decorations have been added to the tiny rooms of Queen Mary's Dolls' House, celebrating the 100th anniversary of the largest and most famous dolls' house in the world.

The decorations, including a 1920s-style Christmas tree and a garland in the Hall and Staircase, have been handmade by Royal Warrant Holders Shane Connolly & Co.

Floral designer Shane Connolly personally installed the decorations, which were crafted from materials such as glass beads repurposed from vintage necklaces and tiny candles made with real candle wax.

The tree, which was sourced from Windsor Great Park, will be replanted there after the display closes.

Adorned with a Garter Star decoration, the tree stands as a focal point in the hall, whose ceiling is decorated with the shields of the Knights of the Garter.
