A flood warning has been issued across Bracknell Forest, Windsor and Maidenhead following overnight downpours on Chertsey Bourne.
The River Bourne or the Chertsey Bourne runs from sources in Windsor Great Park and Swinley Forest through to the River Thames.
Although property flooding is not expected, people are being warned to avoid low lying footpaths and roads this morning (19/11).
A spokesperson for River Levels said: “River levels are rising on the Chertsey Bourne as a result of heavy rainfall. Therefore, flooding of low lying land and roads is possible this morning, 19/11/2024, especially in the Free Prae Road area of Chertsey.
“Further light rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. We expect river levels to remain high throughout the day.
“We are monitoring the situation. Our staff are checking and clearing trash screens. Avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses.”
