Two knives were discovered in the bushes at a Slough park during a sweep conducted by local police officers.
Thames Valley Police conducted the search using metal detectors as part of Operation Spectre – UK knife awareness week.
This search took place on Friday, November 16 in Salt Hill Park, Slough.
A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said: “While the majority of the park was clear, 2 items were found in the bushes and booked in for destruction as they had no evidential purpose.
If you happen to come across any knives or potential weapons that could cause harm to the public.”
Amnesty bins have been dotted around Berkshire, including Slough Police Station, where knives can be deposited.
