A van has crashed into a railway bridge in Slough, with locals calling for action to address what they say is a regular problem.
Network Rail staff were seen at the scene of the crash in Station Road around 12pm on Tuesday.
Responding to a post on social media, nearby residents said vehicles colliding with the bridge 'happens time and time again'.
One user wrote: "Happens once a year in that same spot lol."
Another added: "Not again! It happens so often it’s ridiculous."
While another showed concern for the bridge, saying: "Oh not again!! That poor bridge."
Others called for work to be undertaken to address the reoccurring problem.
One comment said: "There should be a Video screen on the bridge - to warn HGV drivers of the danger of trying to drive under the bridge with the wrong height vehicle."
Another added: "There needs to be a height check about 500yards BEFORE you approach this bridge… a bit like when you get height checked before going on a rollercoaster."
Network Rail has been contacted for comment.
Meanwhile, police had to assist a lorry that hit a bridge in Ascot after what officers called was 'a major maths fail'.
Officers were called to the collision in Station Hill Road around 11am.
"It should be clear to all that a 4.3m tall HGV won't fit under a 4.2m bridge," an officer said.
In September, a car transporter lorry has struck a railway bridge in central Reading, damaging several vehicles being carried by the lorry.
