Thames Valley Police officers discovered a burnt-out car whilst in patrols in Maidenhead.
Suspicions by the members of the Rural Crime Taskforce, PC Batchelor & PC Moule are that the vehicle has been involved in hare coursing and illegal poaching.
Investigations into the owner of this vehicle are currently taking place by police.
The force has been receiving increasing reports throughout the countryside of illegal poaching in both Buckinghamshire and East Berkshire.
They have asked anyone who many have any information to come forward.
A spokesperson from Thames Valley Police said: “If you suspect hare coursing is in progress, call 999 as soon as possible for our control room to dispatch officers to the area quickly, then please keep a safe distance and pass as much detail as possible to the police.”
When reporting a crime to police, they are seeking the location, the number of people/dogs involved, the vehicle and registrations/models and the direction of travel.
