The full road closure in Slough Town Centre has been lifted following the demolition of the Tescos footbridge.
Officials made the decision to remove the footbridge due to increasing reports of ‘anti-social behaviour’ in the area.
The bridge, which was described as an eye-sore was built to help pedestrians making their way to the store from Slough Town Centre was closed in 2021.
Slough Borough Council has announced that although the full road closure has now finished, there will be a single lane closure as workers reinstate the current footpath.
They said: “There is now only a single lane closure on Wellington Street at the side of the Queensmere Carpark to remove the South Tower and reinstate the footway. This will be in place until 29 November.”
