Visually impaired listeners now have access to stories from Tim Walker's 'London Tales' through the Windsor Talking Newspaper.
Listeners and volunteers from the Windsor Talking Newspaper (WTN) met with Datchet-based author Tim Walker and actor Richard James to celebrate the launch of audio stories from 'London Tales.'
These stories will be included in the weekly recordings of the WTN.
Pamela Bailey, Chair of the Windsor Talking Newspaper, said: "We are delighted that Tim Walker has allowed us to issue stories from his book 'London Tales' as an addition to our recording of local news each week.
"Last year we included stories from Tim's book of 'Thames Valley Tales' and our listeners loved hearing stories set in the local areas they were so familiar with.
"The stories from Tim's books are beautifully read by the actor Richard James and are really appreciated by our listeners."
The WTN takes articles from the Observer and records them on USB sticks for visually impaired listeners across the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead and Slough, helping them stay connected to their communities.
Richard James, the actor reading the stories, is based in Bourne End.
He was recently an Off-West End finalist for Best Supporting Performance for his roles in 'A Sherlock Carol' at the Marylebone Theatre, London.
For three months, visually impaired listeners can enjoy stories from Tim Walker's 'London Tales.'
