A van that belonged to a Scout group based in Maidenhead was stolen.
In the late hours of Saturday, November 9/early hours of Sunday, November 10, the vehicle was taken illegally from the group.
A report from the police was made and within 12 hours, the van was found.
It was discovered just over four miles away in Burnham.
Taking to Facebook to provide details of the incident, Thames Valley Police said: “A Scout group from Maidenhead had their van stolen overnight.
“We located it in the Burnham area and one very happy leader met us to take it back.
“We think that deserves a badge.”
The force was praised for its efforts in finding the vehicle so quickly.
