An 18-year-old man has been jailed after sexually assaulting girls in numerous Slough parks.
This incidents took place between January and June this year when Harrison Mwangi approached females in parks across Slough pretending to want to interview them for his studies and then sexually assaulted them.
The victims then tried to take a photo of Mwangi for evidence, so he stole two phones and attempted to steal a third.
Mwangi appeared in Reading Crown Court on October 30 where he was jailed for two years and six months in prison and sentenced to a sexual harm prevention order and a restraining order, both for five years.
This came after pleading guilty to three counts of sexual assault by touching, two counts of theft and one count each of engaging in sexual activity with a child and attempted theft at the same court on 29 July.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Gemma Thompson, based at Slough Police Station, said: “I would like to thank the victims in this case for coming forward and commend their bravery during this investigation.
“Mwangi is a predator who thoroughly prepared for each of his crimes. He came up with an elaborate story which encouraged victims to trust him.
“He betrayed this trust for his own sexual gratification and his selfish actions have had a lasting impact on his victims.
“I hope that his sentence demonstrates that reports of this nature are taken seriously and will be thoroughly investigated.”
