Crew members from the Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service will take part in a charity car wash next month.
Taking place on Saturday, November 2, the emergency workers will be grabbing their buckets and sponges to raise much-needed funds for The Fire Fighters Charity and the Fire Angel Foundation.
In February next year, two of the service’s staff members will embark on an arctic expedition to Umea in Sweden with the Fire Angel Foundation – a foundation that provides experiences for young women.
The initiative will offer immersive training for adventurous journeys that build self-confidence, develop leadership skills, and find a sense of belonging.
The event will be held at Crowthorne Fire Station on High Street in Crowthorne, between 10am and 4pm.
The suggested minimum donation is £5 per car, with all contributions being split equally between.
