An "enchanted garden" has been created at a primary school thanks to the help of Heathrow Airport.
Pippins School, in Colnbrook, had a "redundant space" in its playground that it wanted to transform into a "garden for the children."
However, it was unable to do so for years due to financial limitations.
After months of "conversations and planning", Heathrow Airport agreed to help the school and executed the work over the holidays.
The school now has an "enchanted garden" for the children to use.
The school said this is a "quiet, serene space to enjoy" where the children can "develop their story-writing skills and let their imaginations soar."
The new garden was officially opened by the Mayor of Slough on Tuesday, October 15.
He said: "I'm delighted to be here today at Pippins School on Tuesday morning, 15th of October, 2024.
"I was very impressed with the improvement of the garden, which was funded by Heathrow Airport.
"The children are now much happier, and I am very grateful to Councillors Puja Bedi and Dexter Smith, who have done a wonderful job.
"Once again, we are very grateful to Heathrow Airport and the rangers team."
The headteacher, Mr Jalaf, also spoke about the garden.
He said: "I wish to thank The Mayor of Slough, Councillor Dhillon, who joined us this morning to formally open The Enchanted Garden.
"This is a dream that has come true for us, delivered by Heathrow, to allow us to become imaginative storytellers.
"We are creatively developing our reading across the school, allowing every child to become a storyteller.
"This space will allow our children's imagination to fly."
Heathrow says the new outdoor garden space is a "testament to our commitment to enriching the educational environment for the students."
A spokesperson said: "Pippins is a fantastic school, and we at Heathrow are incredibly proud to support it.
"The new outdoor garden space is a testament to our commitment to enriching the educational environment for the students.
"Our colleagues volunteered their time and hard work, along with the Heathrow Rangers, to make this project a reality."
This is not the first time Heathrow has helped Pippins School.
For several years, the airport has supported the school in various ways, and the partnership is said to be going "from strength to strength."
The school said it hopes this partnership continues for a long time.
