No charges have yet been made by police after a 16-year-old boy was killed last weekend in an accident involving a motorbike.

Police officers arrived at the scene and found a motorcycle had left the road and its two occupants, two boys aged 16 and both from Slough, were seriously injured.

Speaking directly to The Observer, the representative for Datchet, Horton, and Wraysbury councillor Jodie Grove said that she is deeply saddened and shocked by what has taken place.

"This is an exceptionally sad and shocking situation, and my sincere condolences go out to the friends and families of the two young men involved," she said.

The councillor went on to say how everyone in the area has been hit hard by the news of the 16-year-old's death, and that locals want answers regarding the arrest.

Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Inspector Stuart May of Thames Valley Police’s Major Crime Unit, said: “I want to give prior warning to the public that these road closures will be in place from 9am tomorrow to allow us to carry out essential enquiries to support our ongoing murder investigation.

"I appreciate the inconvenience that these road closures will cause, however it is necessary in order to establish the facts in this case. Diversion signs will be in place.
