Nominations are open for the Slough Youth Awards to celebrate youngsters' achievements.
The awards, now in their ninth year, highlight the positive contributions of young people aged 11 to 25 who live in Slough.
Backed by Slough Youth Parliament and the council’s Youth Voice team, the awards recognise various aspects of youth achievement.
These include the Making a Difference Award, Creative Expression Award, Being Active Ambassador, Resilience Award, Going Green Champion, and Being Ambitious Award.
Winners will be announced at a high-energy event featuring performances, food, and more.
Every nominee will be invited to the ceremony.
The awards ceremony originated from the first youth parliament’s manifesto pledge to highlight young people’s accomplishments positively.
Councillor Puja Bedi, lead member for education and children’s services, said: "We are so proud of all our young people in Slough, especially those who go above and beyond to help their community.
"If you know a young person who you think excels in one of our six categories, please get your nominations in before October 30.
"The judging panel looks forward every year to reading all about the amazing contributions to the community Slough’s youth have made."
The event on November 22, from 6pm to 9pm, will be hosted by members of the Slough Youth Parliament and will feature performances from local artists.
The Youth Voice Team can be contacted for general enquiries at sloughforyouth@slough.gov.uk.
Nominations can be submitted on the slough government website, as well as find out more details on the award categories.
