A newsagent and Post Office in Maidenhead has applied for permission to become an off-licence.

Owners of Highway Food and Wine at 8 Highway Avenue in Pinkneys Green, Maidenhead wants permission from the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead council to sell alcohol between 6am and midnight, Monday to Sunday.

The shop’s current opening hours are 6:30am – 5pm Monday to Friday and 7am to 12:30pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

Plans submitted to the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead suggest that, if the licence is granted, alcohol will be sold from a chiller at the back right hand corner of the shop. It will be visible from the till, which is on the right hand side of the shop by the entrance.

They can view the application and make comments by visiting the licensing and regulation page on the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead’s website and searching for it using the reference number 107249/LAPL01.
