The investigation into the tragic death of Kyron Lee has "come to its conclusion" with the sentencing of five men for their role in the "selfless" young man's murder.

On Sunday, October 2 in 2022, the 21-year-old had been riding his bike when he was attacked by four men, who left him to die due to a stab wound to his right leg.

Thames Valley Police investigation found that Kyron had been in a collision with a stolen black Volkswagen on Earls lane, before he was chased to Waterman Court where he was fatally attacked.

After the collision, Mohammed Elgamri, from Windsor, alongside Ilias Almallah, Khalid Nur and Yaqhub Mussa, all from Slough, exited the car and chased Kyron into Waterman Court where he was fatally attacked.

The men then left the scene in the car, which 19-year-old Fras Seedahmed was driving.

Mohamed Abdulle, 22 and from Slough, was involved in the preparation for the attack and was with the group shortly beforehand.

He fled the UK to the Netherlands after the attack and was extradited back to the UK in January 2023.

Hamid Gaafar and Brian Visaho, both 20 and from Portsmouth, provided accommodation to Seedahmed and Elgamri, helping them evade arrest when police attended their accommodation.

Hamze Almallah assisted his brother Ilias by paying for a flight to Madrid soon after the murder and then accompanying him to Spain in order to ensure he evaded police.

Now five men - Abdulle, Gaafar, Visaho, as well as Ilias Almallah and Hamze Almallah - have been sentenced for their part in the deadly attack.

Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Chief Inspector Mike Roddy, said: “The sentencing of these five men brings conclusion to the case following the death of Kyron Lee in Slough in 2022.

“I know that no sentence will serve as complete solace for Kyron’s family, but I hope that the fact the case has now concluded and eleven men have been brought to justice and between them will serve very lengthy prison terms offers some closure for them.

“I hope this sentence sends a clear message to anyone to those considering aiding others who have committed crime that they will be caught and brought in front of the court.”

Mussa, Nur, Seedahmed were each convicted of murder and sentenced to life imprisonment last July.

Hassan and Fur were convicted assisting an offender and failing to provide a mobile phone PIN respectively.

Over a hundred people gathered for a vigil a week after Kyron's tragic death, honouring the "selfless", "straight and honest" man.

“Kyron was loved by so many and he was the kindest most loving genuine person," his mother said in a statement.
