A couple has won a national franchise award for their gelato shops.
Peter and Kim Sandstrom were given the Great British Franchisee Award by whichfranchise for their Amorino outlets in Marlow and Windsor.
The couple, who swapped the corporate world for their franchise venture, were praised by judges for their dedication to their brand.
Amorino is a global luxury gelato brand, known for its artisanal gelato and sorbet offerings, with shops in various locations worldwide.
The judges highlighted their belief in the brand's potential outside big cities, particularly in towns like Marlow.
The couple's stores have been noted for achieving record-breaking turnovers during peak seasons.
Roman Aslamzada, head of franchise at Amorino UK, said: "Peter and Kim epitomise the qualities we look for in exemplary franchisees, which is why we are delighted that they are deserving winners of this prestigious award."
He commended their professionalism, dedication, and positive attitude in managing their stores.
The couple were the first Amorino franchisees to establish the brand in smaller towns.
Mr and Mrs Sandstrom expressed their delight at receiving the award, attributing their success to the support of their customers and the Amorino brand.
They said: "We are honoured to be recognised, and a special thank you to Amorino, who have been true partners throughout our journey.
"This award was only possible because of our incredible customers and their warm embrace of our family businesses."
The Great British Franchisee Awards recognise the success of franchisees and franchisors in the UK franchise industry.
