The managers of a roadside pub outside one of the biggest towns in Berkshire have launched a bid to sell beers and other drinks earlier in the day.
The Shire Horse country pub is situated along the A4 Bath Road between Littlewick Green and Maidenhead.
It is known for serving up tasty lunches, Sunday roasts, breakfasts and more to guests.
Previously a Spirit Pub Company venue, the company was acquired by Greene King in June 2015.
The Shire Horse is currently being run as a Chef & Brewer countryside pub restaurant, and received a major refurbishment that was completed in December 2022.
Currently, the pub is open from 11am to 11pm on weekdays, with earlier openings of 9am to 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and closure at 10.30pm on Sundays.
Now the managers want to serve alcohol from 9am each day, for customers who want to get their drinks in earlier.
It's understood that the earlier alcohol serving times will accompany the expansion of breakfast serving times throughout the week.
Currently, breakfast is only served on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
To be able to serve alcohol at 9am each day, the pub's managing company had to submit a licensing application to the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.
You can view the application and make comment by typing reference 050427/LAPL05 into the Royal Borough's planning and licensing portal.
The deadline for representations is Monday, October 7.
