A fine-dining Asian restaurant in Slough has won permission for wine, cocktail, and alcohol sales for guests to enjoy with their meals.

The restaurant Chokhat in Farnham Road was opened earlier this year by Deepak Singh Dhami, a professional chef with 25 years of experience in the kitchen at a number of 5-star hotels.

The website states: "With an illustrious 25-year journey in the world of hospitality, Chef Deepak Singh Dhami is the culinary wizard shaping the enchanting experience at Chokhat.

"Chokhat, under Chef Deepak’s guidance, transcends the ordinary dining experience; it’s a gastronomic adventure.

"Let your taste buds embark on a journey through the artistry of flavours meticulously crafted with love, skill, and the unmistakable touch of Chef Deepak’s magic."

Him and his team serve up a range of Indo-Chinese cuisine such as curries, biryanis, vegetarian and seafood dishes along with an extensive drinks menu.

Prior to opening, Mr Singh Dhami applied to sell alcohol from 10am to 11pm each day. This application was granted by Slough Borough Council's licensing department, meaning staff can sell a range of wines, cocktails, beers, ciders and spirits to guests.

The Chokhat website states groups of up to six people can also enjoy buy one get one free on drinks during 'happy hour' which runs from 5pm to 7pm Tuesday to Saturday and 4pm to 7pm on Sundays.

The restaurant is closed on Mondays.

Chokhat took over from the Karahi King diner and takeaway at 296 Farnham Road, along one of the busiest north-south routes in Slough.
