A new restaurant serving panoramic views has opened in Slough.

Jim's Kitchen & Bar can be found on the ninth floor of the Moxy & Residence Inn hotel, bringing a blend of 'innovative cuisine and local charm'.

The restaurant aims to provide a 'sophisticated experience' while still being warm and welcoming.

The restaurant pays homage to Station Jim, a dog who was a 'beloved local legend' at Slough railway station in the late 19th century.

The dog was known for his 'friendly demeanour' and for collecting donations for the Great Western Railway Widows and Orphans Fund.

The restaurant hopes to replicate the sense of community and warmth that Station Jim brought to the station.

The restaurant's menu features a range of dishes, honouring the rich heritage of British cuisine with a 'modern, international twist'.

Menu items include classics such as battered haddock and fries and 'inventive creations' such as a Korean beef bibimbap bowl.

An outdoor terrace provides the opportunity for al fresco dining.

Chris Thomas, general manager of Moxy & Residence Inn Slough, said: "Jim's Kitchen & Bar embodies the spirit of Station Jim through its commitment to exceptional service, community connection, and a warm, inviting atmosphere.

"It’s more than just a place to eat; it’s a dining experience that combines exceptional cuisine, stunning views, and a vibrant atmosphere, right in the heart of Slough."

The restaurant's interior is designed to combine modern design with 'timeless charm'.

It aims to be a place where guests can unwind and enjoy their experience.

Whether it’s a casual Sunday roast, a romantic dinner, or drinks with friends, Jim's promises an 'unforgettable experience' with its views and ambiance.
