Safety measures are set to be introduced at a corner store in a residential area in Windsor.
Annes News And Post Office is an off licence in the Clewer New Town area of Windsor, which is largely residential.
The store sits in a precinct next to a Morrisons Daily.
Now safety measures and tighter checks on those purchasing alcohol could be implemented at the store.
These measures include imposing a 'Challenge 25' age verification policy for alcohol sales, meaning anyone who looks under 25 will be asked to show their ID or be refused sale.
A condition states that staff must successfully pass the store alcohol training course before selling alcohol to shoppers as well.
Another condition involves the installation of CCTV, which must be maintained to standards set by Thames Valley Police.
A designated premises supervisor in charge of the store or a nominated staff member would then be required to manage the CCTV and make it available to police on request.
The changes have been submitted in a licensing application to the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.
According to the Royal Borough's licensing website, the application was submitted by Harpal Singh Kalpa, who took charge of the store in November 2021.
You can view and comment on the application by typing reference 050651/LAPL04 into the council's licensing and planning portal.
The last day for representations is Friday, August 30.
