Pupils throughout Slough shone today as hundreds of eager students picked up their much-anticipated GCSE results.
Many students expressed how happy they were, with lots smashing their target grades.
Long Close School’s class of 2024 have achieved an exceptional set of examination results, with 34% of all grades awarded at the very top grades possible of 7-9 (a, A*, A**).
The core subjects of Maths and English Language underpinned this success with 96% and 92% of pupils achieving Grade 4+ respectively.
Building on the school’s reputation for academic excellence, exceptional performances were seen across a wide range of subjects, including Business (8-9, 50%), Maths (7-9, 58%) and Chemistry (7-9, 48%). The staff at the school congratulate all of their Year 11 pupils, who have worked so hard during their GCSE courses, and are very proud of all that they have achieved.
