An Indian restaurant in a Berkshire village wants to sell alcohol to diners enjoying a meal there.
The Spice Forte restaurant is a relatively new business that took over the Nationwide bank in Station Hill, Cookham in 2022.
Since opening, Spice Forte has operated on a 'bring your own booze' basis, meaning customers could bring their own beer, wine, spirits and other drinks to have with their meal.
A sign at the restaurant and takeaway states: "Bring your own booze when you dine with us with no corkage charge."
Spice Forte does not charge for removing corks for wine and other alcoholic drinks.
Now, the businessman Mohammed Koyes Ali has applied to sell alcohol from 12pm to 11pm each day for dine-in guests.

The application for alcohol sales has been submitted to the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead's (RBWM) licensing department.
You can view and comment on the application by typing reference 107245/LAPL01 into the council's licensing and planning portal.
Spice Forte is located in Cookham village centre, near the train station and other businesses.
Nationwide closed in Cookham in 2020. The RBWM turned down a plan to convert it into two homes, later approving its conversion into Spice Forte the following year.
