One of the largest South Indian Dance Schools held their annual show in front of hundreds of spectators.
Sesha Natya Nikethan teaches students aged from five to 23 years old, with the event showcasing Indian culture through traditional moves and numerous colours.
It took place at the Cressex Community Centre at the end of June, with the junior students starting the show with traditional Indian folk dances.
The songs were of Tamil, Telugu and Kannada origin, which represent the different states of South India.
The senior students followed with the more advanced dances that involved intricate footwork and the narration of Hindu mythology through dance form.
The finale was a dance drama of Lord Krishna’s stories performed by the senior students.
The school is one of the largest in the South East of England and one of the most recognised in the Thames Valley.
In all, classes are held in High Wycombe (Wycombe Meenachi Temple), Beaconsfield (St Thomas Church), Slough (Slough Curve Library), Cippenham (Baptist Church) and Maidenhead (St Peter’s Church).
