British athletes have been immortalised in LEGO at the LEGOLAND ® Windsor Resort in anticipation of the upcoming global sporting event.
The park's well-loved Miniland attraction now boasts miniature portrayals of top British sports personalities including Tom Daley OBE, Max Whitlock OBE, Katarina Johnson-Thompson, and Hannah Cockroft OBE.
As the sporting spectacles prepare to unfold next week, LEGOLAND has crafted these scenes with great love and care, both as a tribute and to join the nation in wishing their athletes well as they compete in Paris.
Among the newly displayed scenes, visitors can observe LEGO Whitlock skilfully manoeuvring on his pommel horse and LEGO Cockroft sprinting past the iconic Arc de Triomphe.
Johnson-Thompson is seen gripping a miniature javelin in front of a scaled replica of the Louvre, while Daley, knitting needles gripped in tiny hands, stands ready to dive from a LEGO diving board.
Three dedicated model makers worked for 60 hours to put together the thrilling arrangement, utilising a total of 2,024 LEGO bricks.
Helen Bull, Divisional Director at LEGOLAND Windsor Resort, said: "We wanted to find a way to honour our brilliant athletes and wish them good luck in our own unique way.
"Our model makers had a lot of fun creating the amazing scene and we look forward to watching the athletes compete over the next few weeks."
To join in this uniquely LEGO-style cheerleading, families are welcome to visit LEGOLAND Windsor Resort's Miniland attraction.
