SLOUGH’S very own Knit Your Socks Off group is showcasing some of their fantastic creations on a national platform.
Come As You Really Are, by artist Hetain Patel, is an exhibition at Grants of Croydon, a former department store in London. The exhibition will include items by Slough’s Knit Your Socks Off having been lovingly crafted by several group members.
The Slough group was co-founded by Sbba Siddique and Samina Hussain and has been running for nine years. The group has made thousands of items for hundreds of charities, community, and voluntary groups in that time.
In the last year alone, members have supported 30 charities and donated over 8,500 items – supporting causes such as Wexham Park Hospital, Slough Outreach, SHOC, and Slough Refugee Support.
Now, some of those creations will be in the exhibition including a postbox topper for Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. The free exhibition runs until October 20. Booking: https://buytickets.at/artangel/1274783
