The MP for our town recently attended an important cultural event which saw tremendous shows of strength and agility.
Tan Dhesi visited a Sikh grappling competition in Slough to show his appreciation for the diverse sport.
He posted numerous photographs of himself and the event on social media along with a caption proclaiming how excited he was to attend such a momentous occasion.
He commented that he found the event 'ground breaking' as it is one of the first of its kind in the area, shining a light on the importance of diversity in sports.
In a recent post to Facebook, Mr Dhesi posted the photographs along with the following words:
"Thanks to Singh Sabha Slough, sponsors, and the efforts of volunteers, #Slough hosted its first ever #Sikh Grappling competition.
"A ground breaking event for the #UK Sikh #grappling community, with serious strength and agility on display."
