A popular presenter of a quintessential radio station is leaving her post after almost two decades.
In a recent turn of events at BBC Radio Berkshire much loved mid-morning presenter Sarah Walker has bid farewell after 18 years.
Former CBBC presenter Kirsten O’Brien takes her place on mid mornings from 10am-2pm weekdays and Paul Coia is scheduled to present the breakfast show from 10am.
Saturday morning sees Katie Martin host breakfast, with Katie Tyler presenting Sundays.
On a recent post to X, formerly known as Twitter, Ms Walker sent the following message out to her fans:
"After 18 amazing years, I presented my last show for @bbcberkshire today.
"It’s been such a privilege to do this brilliant job for so long. Radio is the absolute best but it’s time to try something new for now. See you on the other side of the speaker."
As a previous presenter of BBCBerkshire radio station, Ms Walker covered the air from 10 am to 2 pm throughout the week Monday to Friday but and also regularly covered weekends.
Ms Walker is also a mother and has two lovely children who she even mentions in her Twitter bio.
She is also into all things football and is a self proclaimed lover of Leicester City FC.
Her other two loves which she also states clearly on her Twitter bio are gin and cake.
She also proudly states that throughout her career on BBC Berkshire she presented her own views and not those of the BBC.
