A police cordon is still in place in a Slough park following the discovery of human remains in what has been described as an ‘unexplained death’.

Thames Valley Police were called to Herschel Park after a report was made by a member of the public at around 1:04pm on Sunday, July 7.

Investigations are underway at the scene to hopefully discover the identity of the person, whose remains were found.

Our reporter, Nick Clark, attended the scene where he spoke to people in the local vicinity and explored the scene of the unexplained death.

A homeless camp was also discovered in the area near the police scene.

Radu, 35, security guard. “It's very sad. I sometimes come here to relax and walk my dog. It's quiet in this park, nice people come here. Just sometimes you see some bad people - dirty people, perhaps homeless.

"When I went up there with my dog I saw someone was living there"

The pathway which has been cordoned off in the park is described as ‘extremely secluded’.

Nathan, 27, said: "I haven't been to this park for a while but it used to be a bit sketchy - people hanging around. It's quite a dark park as well.

"That's quite a secluded part of the park. I didn't know there were people living there. That's quite concerning."
