A 36-year-old Slough man has been jailed after attacking an e-bike owner during a robbery.
The incident occurred at around 11:20 am on Saturday, March 16 in Farnham Road.
Ashley Smith, 36, of Farnham Road produced a lock-knife and assaulted the man in his sixties during the attempted robbery.
In court, Smith was sentenced to five years and three months.
Investigating officer PC Beth Neville, of the Priority Crime Team, based at Slough police station, said: "I am very pleased with this result and happy that the victim has received the justice they so rightly deserve.
"I would also like to thank the local community for providing information that proved to be vital in our investigation."
Smith was arrested by officers four days later before being released on police bail under strict conditions.
After failing to adhere to the restrictions, Smith was rearrested on 2 May before being charged and remanded into custody.
He pleaded guilty to attempted robbery, possession of an offensive weapon and assault occasioning actual bodily harm in a previous hearing in Reading Crown Court following his arrest.
