A concert to commemorate the late Paul Sherriff is to be held at St Nicholas Church, Taplow, on August 31, at a 5 pm featuring the renowned Orpheus Sinfonia Orchestra.
The concert, organised by Paul’s eldest son George, will raise money for The Brain Tumour Charity, a global non-profit dedicated to funding research into brain tumours.
Paul, who passed away from a rare brain tumour in October 2022, was a much-loved community leader who ran Sherriff Mountford Estate Agents in Burnham High Street for 35 years.
The musical event will feature Orpheus Sinfonia Orchestra, a London-based group patronised by Dame Judi Dench. They will perform songs from some of Paul’s favourite films and theatre shows, including Gladiator, Les Miserables and Last of the Mohicans.
George Sherriff said “The concert is to raise money to support all those people and their families currently battling with brain cancer. It is also in memory of a true community giant.”
