Investigations into an unexplained death in Slough are underway after the remains of a person were discovered in a park.

Thames Valley Police were called to Herschel Park after a report was made by a member of the public at around 1:04pm on Sunday, July 7.

The death is currently being treated as ‘unexplained’ however the circumstances of the death are being investigated.

Detective Inspector Nick Hind, of Thames Valley Police Major Crime Unit, said: “While these incidents will no doubt cause concern to people in and around Slough, I’d like to reassure people that we are conducting a full and thorough investigation.

“Because of this, a scene watch is in place around Herschel Park, and we expect this to remain during the coming days.”

The identity of the individual is not yet known, however police have said that ‘there is a great deal of work being done’  to discover who the person was and determine exactly what happened.
