A man has been jailed over a one-day crime spree, in which he carried out an assault and stole clothes from a parked car.
Derry Bennett, 42, of Hughenden Road, Slough, beat a man in Slough on April 18 this year.
He then went and stole a bag of clothes from a parked Volvo.
When police arrested Bennett, they found a blade on him, described as a craft knife.
The defendant pleaded guilty to all the offences at Reading Magistrates' Court on April 19.
Magistrates jailed him for 22 weeks.
At the time he committed the offences, Bennett was already on bail over another matter.
This, coupled with the knife offence, was cited by magistrates in justifying their decision to imprison Bennett.
