An adorable two-year-old Lurcher has been given a second chance at life after spending eight months in a leading Berkshire dogs home.
Farley was brought to Battersea after being found as a stray and proved to be a gentle and friendly young dog.
After struggling to find the right match for his forever home, animal experts at the animal charity decided that Farley would benefit from being fostered where he will be spending his time in a peaceful setting as he ‘gets his mojo back’.
The foster programme has been launched in a variety of shelters across the country. Costs, training and support are taken care of by Battersea making it an ideal way to improve the lives of dogs and cats, whilst welcoming in the love of an animal.
Foster Carers, Naomi and Gary, volunteered to take Farley home and soon enough, the sweet Lurcher was showing off his loveable personality and could often be found snuggling as close to his Foster Carers as possible.
Talking about fostering Farley, Naomi said: “Despite being quite reserved when he first came home with us, Farley proved himself to be a gorgeous dog who had lots of love to give and just needed a bit of encouragement in a quiet setting to come out of his shell.
“He was such a character, and it was really rewarding to watch him grow in confidence during his time with us, especially on our walks in the countryside which quickly became his favourite part of the day.”
