A hair salon in Buckinghamshire is celebrating after winning a national award, beating competitors from around the country.
Ginger Rabbit hair salon in Farnham Common has proudly won the "Customer Service Salon" award at the National Salon Business Awards 2024.
The salon, up for three more awards – Digital, Business Salon, and Ultimate Salon – celebrated this recognition alongside the industry's esteemed figures at a ceremony in Soho, London on Monday, June 3.
The awards, marking their 11th year, pay homage to remarkable individuals and teams leading impressive salon businesses and strengthening British hairdressing's respected international standing.
Going beyond outstanding salons and excellent teamwork, the awards commend ground breaking initiatives and pioneering individuals.
The Buckinghamshire salon stood out among 40,000 other contenders across the UK.
This distinction is a testament to Ginger Rabbit's team and their clientele's collaboratively built success.
Mikaela Martin, owner of the salon, spoke passionately about her career.
She said: "I went into hairdressing because it combined my lifelong passions for creativity, engaging with people, and creating my own stage.
"Thirty years later, I am still excited and passionate about this amazing career that allows me to make a positive impact on people's lives."
Expressing the significance of their win, she added: "There's no better feeling for myself and my team than winning Customer Service in the National Salon Business Awards; it's a true accolade that reflects our dedication to looking after our clients and delivering a high standard of service."
Joanne Charlton, executive director of the Salon Business Awards, firmly stated: "These awards are a celebration of the talented and passionate people that help make British hairdressing so revered.
"We are suitably impressed with how salons have raised the bar once again, demonstrating that there is no other industry quite like hairdressing in the UK."
