The Slough Borough Council Community Detached Youth Work Team, in collaboration with Thames Valley Police, Slough Town Football Club, and Berks & Bucks Football Association, took part in a community football match.
The match took place at Arbour Park on Saturday May 11, in aid of the Frimley Health charity. Members of the local community were invited to watch and enjoy the camaraderie, in exchange for a donation.
In the Community squad, there were 30 individuals of diverse ages, nationalities, backgrounds, and affiliations with community groups, along with Slough Borough Council alumni, and current staff.
In the TVP squad, there were predominantly police officers, with support from local firefighters and coaches.
The event was used to help foster community engagement and to involve local residents and representatives of Thames Valley Police.
As well as enjoying the friendly competitive atmosphere, spectators could visit the stalls and try the food on offer.
