A longstanding restaurant in Slough has been transformed by new owners, who are getting ready to launch.
Tummies in Station Road in Cippenham had been a local hotspot since 1988.
However closure for 'unforeseen circumstances' saw the doors close in January 2023 and eight months later the property was sold for £2.5million.
Now, new restaurant Chor Bazaar is getting ready to launch on Friday, June 7 after Slough permitted its license.
Speaking of the new restaurant, business owner Pooja Sethi said: "Chor Bazaarr is inspired by the bustling markets of India, where the air is filled with the enticing aromas of street food, the vibrant colours of spices, and the sounds of the lively chatter.
"We have strived to bring a piece of that authentic experience to our restaurant, offering a menu that reflects the true flavours of India, from the tangy and spicy street foods to the rich and aromatic curries."
The menu includes a wide variety of vegetarian street food, alongside signature meat and fish dishes such as Rawalpindi Tandoori Chicken and Masala Fried Prawns.
Main courses include Daryaganj Butter Chicken and Vegetable Moilee - a creamy vegetable stew.
Mixed platters, rice, breads and a selection of desserts form the rest of the menu.
Main dishes range in price from £8.50 to £14.99.
