The Prince’s Trust is calling all Windsor and surrounding residents to don their walking shoes this October in aid of their brand-new Palace Walk fundraiser.
The event will see participants walk a 13-mile route, starting from Windsor Racecourse, passing through Windsor’s iconic landmarks including Alexandra Gardens, Windsor Castle, The Long Walk and Windsor Great Park, to help raise vital funds to help transform the lives of young people across the country.
This year’s inaugural Palace Walk on October 6 will coincide with The Trust’s iconic Palace to Palace cycling event, now in its seventeenth year, which has since helped raise over £6million for the charity in support of young people.
Palace walkers can expect special refreshment stops along the way, before finishing their walk at Windsor Racecourse where they can join the Palace to Palace cyclists at the celebratory Finish Festival.
The walk is open to those aged 14 and above, with the Finish Festival open to all, encouraging participants to bring along friends and family to enjoy the festivities.
From live music, a selection of delicious food vendors, family-friendly activities, entertainment and more; there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
The Prince’s Trust has helped over a million young people into work, education or training.
The courses offered by The Trust give young people the practical and financial support needed to stabilise their lives, helping them develop self-esteem and skills for work.
