A pub has reopened to a "queue down the road" to get in after its last owners retired.
The Prince Albert pub in Windsor had been operated by Martin and Wendy Higgins for over 25 years, but closed on April 28 after the pair announced their time at the pub was coming to an end.
In a statement on Facebook, they wrote: "2024 marks 25 wonderful years of serving this community, and we want to make sure we celebrate every moment until the very end."
Under new management, The Prince Albert has undergone a "major refurbishment", with the public reassured on May 3 that the pub would be reopening.
Inside the pub has been transformed and outside a lick of paint has freshened up the pub's appearance - alongside new signage.
The Prince Albert opened on Saturday, May 25, with guests given a free glass of prosecco from 6:30pm.
In an update from the pub, the new management said: "The kitchen isn’t open yet - it’s being completely rebuilt so isn’t quite ready.
"The hotel isn’t open yet as rooms are being gutted and all new beds, TV, carpet, curtains etc.
"Thanks for your patience - see you soon."
