Some Slough borough residents will no longer be voting for their towns next MP following boundary changes.
A 2023 review of Slough's ward boundaries sought to ensure each MP seat has between 69,724 and 77,062 voters in it, therefore making areas across the country more balanced.
However due to the existing Slough constituency number being above the permitted range, it was proposed that two wards were to be included in a neighbourhood towns count.
This means this coming General Election, set to be held on July 4, Langley Kedermister and Foxborough will be included as part of the Windsor constituency.
It means these wards will join Colnbrook & Poyle ward, which has been in the Windsor constituency since 2001.
Other changes will also affect the two Royal Borough towns, with the Windsor constituency also set to include Egham Town and Egham Hythe.
Maidenhead will also be taking on some of the Bracknell Forest district to even out numbers.
The Boundary Commission faced opposition to the changes, with it documenting: "We received opposition to our proposal to include the Langley Kedermister and Foxborough wards in the proposed Windsor constituency, though those that acknowledged that some part of Slough Borough would have to be included in a Windsor constituency to avoid crossing the boundary between Berkshire and Buckinghamshire generally agreed that the initial proposals were the strongest option.
"The proposed crossing of the boundary between Berkshire and Surrey in the Windsor constituency was also unpopular, both as a matter of general principle and specifically the choice of the two Egham wards."
Despite this, the changes have since gone through.
